People go in for the advanced treatments as a result of the ugly scars that they leave behind.

Definitely some sort of complicated treatments are required to treat them easily. Acne scar though caused by various factors thus leave a scar due to the over production of sebum and thus accumulate and leave a dry scar. The first phase of the treatment involves in the identification of the severity and intensity of the scar. If identified at the initial stages then best results can be achieved. To enter into the topic of discussion, there are various types of treatments available in the market. They are collagen injection, dermabrassion,, microdermabrassion, skin surgery, skin grafting, laser treatment to list a few. Though various treatments are available, specific treatments should be used for specific scars. Some treatments are used to treat some scars and others do not.

Collagen injection is a method that is used to treat by injecting a substance called collagen and to fill the scars and then repair them. This method will treat superficial scars and soft scars by using collagen which is extracted from cow and other non-human sources. This treatment will last for 3 to 6 months and if it has to be extended then additional collagen must be used.

Autologous fat transfer is a method where fat from another part of the body is taken and is injected into the skin. This fat that is injected substitutes for the loss or the injury of the skin and thus repairs the damaged skin. This method’s result lasts up to 18 months and for longer results multiple fat transfers has to be done.

The next type to treat acne is the derbrassion which is done under local anesthetic uses a high-speed brush is used to remove the rough skin orally and then alter the impact of the scars. This method does not go well with the ice-prick type of scars.

Then a better technique to treat acne is called microdermabrassion uses aluminum oxide crystals to help remove scar.

The next type of treatment is acne laser treatment, which uses energy of several wavelengths to treat acne as it releases several burst of energy where it removes the damaged skin.

Some more techniques like skin grafting are used to rectify the wounds due to skin erosion. This method is used when the upper layer of the skin is damaged and helps in skin rectification.

Thus methods have to be chosen that matches the type of scar.
