Resveratrol is the new longevity-wonder-pill!

Resveratrol is a great anti-oxidant that has been found in red wine (and many other natural products). It has anti-inflammatory effects, it can help you to stop aging and it can also prevent many diseases like diabetes, cancer and possibly even Alzheimer.

Various studies all over the world show how effective resveratrol can be. Aside from many health benefits resveratrol might be our best hope to increase our lifespan by up to 50% or more. The sirtuin gene which has been found in humans, animals and plants is normally inactive, but it seems that resveratrol is activating it. This gene slows down the aging process! Under normal circumstances this gene is only active when you are following a calorie-restrictive diet plan.

David Sinclair Discovered Resveratrol

Dr. Sinclair is responsible for the discovery of Resveratrol. The company that has been founded to research resveratrol more intensively is called “Sirtris” and has been bought by one of the industry leaders GlaxoSmith. Chief Executive of Sirtris is Dr. Westphal. They are extracting resveratrol from japanese knotweed, a invasive species that is pretty resistent and grows basically *everywhere* in the world. The resveratrol extract is then compressed to produce small resveratrol capsules.

Resveratrol is a very hot topic. It’s so hot that there is currently a doing more and more research, studies, experiments and clinical trials every day.
In one experiment they put one mice on a very unhealthy diet and fed it resveratrol; other mice were put on a healthy calorie-restrictive diet plan but did not receive any resveratrol. The results were amazing. The mice that was fed resveratrol easily outran any other mice by 1 mile. Can you believe how incredible effective resveratrol could be in humans if it would only work to a very small extent?

Suggested Resveratrol Dosage

A question that many scientists like Dr. Mehmet Oz tried to solve is: What is the proper dosage to fully benefit from resveratrol? Is there a correct resveratrol dosage? What resveratrol dosage does Sirtris suggest?

On 60 minutes Dr. Oz recommended to take 320mg of trans-resveratrol per day. But we suggest to lower your daily dose to 100mg when you are new to resveratrol. Your body is a highly complex system that has to get used to almost anything. If you want to take resveratrol daily, then I would suggest to consult a doctor or at least start with a very low dose in order to avoid any side effects.

Best Resveratrol Brands

One of the best resveratrol brands is Pure ResV, also known as Pure Resveratrol, Pure RezV or ResV Pure. It is a high-potency resveratrol supplement and was one of the first supplements available on the market. The company behind it has been in business for 20 years and is very reliable and ships very fast (usually the same day of your order it leaves their warehouse).
